In Tally item master by default you can add only single line product description and the same can be auto captured while in the description box while making any vouchers.
To configure this follow the steps below;
- Go to item masters from Gateway of Tally > Inventory Info > Stock Items > Create or Alter
- Press F12: Configuration and set option “Add description for stock item = Yes”
- You will find a new field Description. Add your required description here
In many cases you may require to add a multiple line description for your product.
Let’s take an example;
A computer sales & service provider wants add multiple line description for the product Lenovo 80X400M7IN 14.0-inch Laptop as below
- Operating System: Windows 10
- RAM: 8GB DDR
- Harddisk: 1 TB
- Warranty: 5 Years
- Display: 14″ LED
