Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a proprietary Microsoft protocol that allows users to remotely access and control another computer or virtual machine over a network such as the internet. It provides a full graphical interface, making it feel as if the user is physically operating the remote system.
What is RDP-based Tally on Cloud? RDP-based Tally on Cloud is a virtually hosted server on which you may install any version of TallyPrime software and other required applications and access them remotely 24 x 7 without any maintenance and hardware cost.
How can I use Tally on Cloud? You can access Tally on Cloud server using the Remote Desktop (RDP) option available in your local computer by entering your dedicated server IP address along with your username and password.
How many users can access Tally on Cloud?

The number of users depends on the server configuration you have subscribed to and your Tally license type (Silver or Gold).

TallyPrime Silver: 1 concurrent remote user
TallyPrime Gold: Up to 10 concurrent remote users
How can I add more users to use TallyPrime concurrently? You can purchase additional Tally Virtual Users (TVU) from your Tally.NET account to increase the number of concurrent Tally users accessing the cloud server.
I have a Tally Silver license. Can it be used by multiple users? No. A Tally Silver license allows only one concurrent user at a time.
What are concurrent users? Concurrent users are the number of users who are actively logged in to the cloud server and using TallyPrime at the same time.
Is it safe to use Tally on Cloud? Yes. The cloud servers are protected by advanced security firewalls and monitored 24×7 to ensure data safety and reliability.
Can I install my own Tally version? Yes, you can install and use any version of TallyPrime, Tally.ERP9, or even older Tally versions. You may also install and use multiple Tally versions on the same server.
How can I transfer files and folders from my local computer? You can easily copy and paste files and folders from your local computer to the cloud server using Remote Desktop.
How can I back up my data? You can secure your TallyPrime data using the Auto Backup or TallyDrive feature available from TallyPrime Release 7.0 onwards. You may also use Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive for real-time data sync and backup.
Can I access Tally on Cloud from a mobile device? Yes. You can install the official Windows App app on your mobile device and connect to your cloud server anytime.
Can I use my TDL add-ons and third-party applications? Yes, all compatible TDL add-ons and third-party applications can be used without limitations.
Do I need to renew Tally.NET to use Tally on Cloud? No. Tally on Cloud is an independent service and does not require renewal of Tally.NET.
How much time does it take to get cloud server access after payment? It usually takes 3–4 working hours to set up and deliver your dedicated cloud server after payment confirmation.
Do you provide a Tally license? No. You must use your existing Tally license or purchase a new license directly from Tally’s official website.
Can I use multiple Tally licenses on the same server? Yes, multiple Tally licenses can be installed and activated on the same server, provided each license operates on a different port number.
